Location: BYU-Idaho Benson Building
F-Stop: f/6.3
Shutter Speed: 1/125
Other: No flash, Handheld

Description: When I took this shot it was originally very dark and required me to add a mask and put a brightening layer on it as well. I also desaturated the picture with a mask o give it the black and white effect.
Wolf Fauna
Title: Wolf Danger
Date & Time: 1/16/2013 1:23pm
Location: BYU-Idaho Benson Building
F-Stop: f/5.6
Shutter Speed: 1/60
Other: No flash, Handheld
Camera: Canon T3i
Description: For this picture the colors were very similar for the wolf’s coat and the wall making it difficult to see where the diference was in some areas. To give it the contrast it needed I put a mask over the left half of the wolf’s face where the shadow of the shot was the greatest and adjusted the levels and saturation so that it would stand out from the wall. I also increased the overall contrast in the entire wolf with a mask.

My favorite picture is the leaf focus because it shows a new angle of the tree that isn’t seen very often. I would suggest doing the same with your other pictures. Make more interest with angles and colors. Maybe try getting a close up of just the animal’s faces an capture their eyes making that the interest.
